Toshiko Kitano Groner

Lives and works in New York, NY

Using different mediums to express simple subjects is interesting to me.

Each medium gives me a different and special tool to express my emotions intimately how I feel. She works in oil, pastel and watercolor to express the specific essence of each subject.  Ordinary things such as flowers, fruits, still lifes and landscapes or circles and lines are my subjects. And I seek to express the world around me and world inside of me with simplicity and color, especially in the unique hues and tones of color from my native Japan.
