I went to see some paper sculptures by Makiko Azakami at the hpgrp gallery in the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
Her works are made of paper but they look so real and very detailed that I thought they were the actual objects!
The letters on the keyboard are cut paper that is pasted on.
The work “Pigments” is stylish and detailed. I love stationery so I was excited when I saw these!
She has held exhibitions more than forty times throughout England, Finland, the United States and Japan. Images of her works have been used for book jackets, magazine covers and fashion billboards.
Her exhibition “I love Tools –paper sculptures-“ runs until October 26th.
