Hiroshi Aoki

Hiroshi Aoki, born in 1976, grew up in Tottori, Japan. In 2002, he started as a freelance photographer.

Aoki captures elements of human despair, dignity, suffering, hope, as well as subjects defining human rights and conflicts of recent history. He believes it is a necessity to tell the stories of those who think they are powerless and cannot. He believes that his work can change the world.

His photos have been exhibited in various venues including museums, galleries and photo festivals. He continues to capture the stories that touch him.
